Actual SEO Experts Are Calling Out the Purported "BS" Gurus

One person recently reached out to the SEO marketing community in order to see how everyone feels about the current state of the industry. This person noted that they are frustrated with many aspects of the work. The marketer wanted to see if anyone else had the same general issues as they did. This SEO marketer's beefs with the industry include four major issues. The first is the reliance on Google. The second is the non-mutual benefits of outreach campaigns. Their third problem is related to the plethora of back links, even if they are of a poor quality. Last, but not least, this marketer mentioned their grief with the general vagueness and assumptions about what works in SEO and what does not.

One person wrote back to say that they agree with everything that the original poster said. This person mentioned that the "bull****" gurus frustrate them to no end. People will attempt to give advice in order to attract attention to themselves or market their own services. However, that advice is usually worth less than the white space that their text is typed on. This person also noted the frothy nature of the market and the supposed service peddlers that do little other than fill their own pockets.

Another person replied to say that they agree that the number of gurus out there selling their "100 percent success tactics" for SEO is outrageous.
